Next to all those monsters of Internet search a Russian competitor of Google Yandex bore a program for personal search. It ‘fell’ a few times restarting the indexing from anew each time. Indexing of PDF files takes unbearably long. Subjectively, this software worked a lot slower than Google and Copernic and definitely much slower than dtSearch and SearchInform. Although, Yandex is meant for a home user, for which this speed is sufficient.

In general, the product looks raw. Hopefully by the official release date this utility will be able to compete with both Google in convenience, simplicity and stability, and other serious programs in the number of supported formats and functions.
