Our policy is aiming at protecting the company’s intellectual property. We have three patents that include inventions in the following fields: 

• Data searching, storing, and data management

• Metasearch technologies 

• Internet advertising (a new business model of electronic data distribution)

The above patents were issued by the Eurasian Patent Organization. They are valid in Russia, Kazakhstan, and nine other countries of the Former Soviet Union. Two of the three patents were submitted to WIPO under PCT procedure (patent applications WO 02/065333 and WO 02/075620). This allows us to submit patent applications to national patent organizations until the end of 2003, claiming the priority date of our Eurasian patents. Using WIPO patent applications, we submitted patent applications to the USA Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).

The Offliner project uses two of the five patent-protected technologies described below.

Working offline with the same efficiency as online
This technology allows you to work interactively with information obtained from the Internet when Internet connection is not available. It solves problems of existing systems and all but obliterates the distinction between online and offline information handling. (Learn more).

Working with links and lists of links
A new method of working with links and lists of links that enables you to integrate links received from heterogeneous information sources into one system, and allows you to work with lists of heterogeneous links in this system. You can perform various logical operations with lists of links, which streamlines the work with any information source or application. (Learn more).

Metasearch 
This technology employs query preprocessing to extend capabilities of search engines included in the metachearch list. It also enables you to add new search engines to metasearch. This technology is overcomes drawbacks typical of existing metasearch systems. It significantly simplifies information search on the Internet. (Learn more).

Internet advertising and new method of software distribution
This technology will serve a new audience of ad consumers and ensure targeted ad delivery. It does not use cookies, which are banned by the European Parliament. It enables viewing Internet ads in offline mode with the same efficiency as online. Search for documents similar to a given document in textual and semantic content
This technology enables searching for documents and document fragments that are similar to a given document in textual and/or semantic content. It uses preprocessing mechanism that extends the initial query with semantic analogs. This technology helps avoid information duplication in the archive, as well as re-processing of the archived information. It also automatically categorizes documents added to the archive. It features full-text search that takes into account word interval and word order in queries. (Learn more).

The above inventions resulted from 10 years of our experience in the field of information technology. They include many simple but original ideas, some of which have been applied in practice and have shown goods results. These inventions can be used in the development of new software products or integrated into the various systems intended for searching, storing and handling of unstructured data. Implementation of some of the above inventions can change the current situation not only in the area of information search and retrieval systems, but also in the internet advertising field.
